First, I think I've more or less adapted to using the Japanese keyboard layout. The convenience of having the @ symbol available on its own key, as opposed to [shift-2], has certainly won me over.
Next, how often do I check my messages on FaceBook? Apparently, not very often. I logon to the service about once a month at best but have avoided using for stretches up to six of eight months in length. Thus it was pretty embarrassing to spot a message from a friend which he had sent in August 2019. At least I did meet up with him at the barbecue he had invited me to.
Oh yeah, the government has issued tax forms to claim health insurance payments to private insurers in English this year. Having been filling those forms out in Japanese for some time, I feel inclined to filling out the English form in...Japanese.....
