We Had a Bit of Snow....

After a weekend of no precipitation we got some Tuesday with a bit of wintertime bite courtesy of Mother Nature.  Actually, it started coming down while I was Dr. Eyes to pick up my new glasses.  What came down did so in a bit of a hurry.  In about ten minutes time my car had a noticeable dusting of snow on it.

The next morning, things were in full swing.  A rather brisk wind was blowing and snow wasn't falling straight down.  It was coming down at a near horizontal angle.  Thus this scene when I arrived at work around 11am....

The first thing I grabbed once I was inside was snow shovel.

The rest of the day fluctuated between blizzard like conditions to just a few snow flakes lazily descending to the ground.  We had a little bit of fun when it was time to lock up and go home...we couldn't lock the door.  The door lock was frozen.  We could put a key in but not rotate it to lock the door.  That was remedied by rubbing the lock with a rag dipped in hot water.  Luckily the thing was not frozen solid....
