I mentioned to my Tuesday evening class that I had taken a walk up Maizuru Mountain last Saturday. One student asked if had seen the shogi memorial up there. I mentioned that I had visited the human shogi board. She said that wasn't exactly what she was alluding to. So I brought up some pictures and she pointed out the one that featured a large shogi piece sculpture. She said that her name was in that list. I asked if she had ever spotted her name on it but she said though she hadn't found it, she had been told it was on the right side of the piece....
