For no reason at all I wasn't feeling up to cooking dinner yesterday. So I decided to head out to grab a quick bite after picking up some items I had dropped off at the cleaners in the morning. The problem with Wednesdays is that a lot of the good ramen shops are closed. So I ended up at Mickey Dee's and tried out one of their new "Gohan" sandwich offerings, a Gohan Fish sandwich with subtitle "Japanese style black pepper"...which I'm not sure what it means taste-wise.
That was followed a while later by my annual St. Patrick's Day glass of Guinness....
After that, I ended up at my favourtie watering hole with a friend. The mama asked me if I wanted to stick around for cake so I stayed after my friend called it a night (something about early morning duties to attend to). The cake was meant for two fellows celebrating their birthdays (though one was substantially a belated celebration). There was pizza, too, as they are employees of a pizza shop chain's local franchise. So today I have leftover cake and pizza in my fridge...and no desire to cook....
